From July 30 to August 12, 2024, the Eurochestries Charente-Maritime are celebrating their ➌➎ 𝖆𝖓𝖘! The international youth orchestra festival has prepared some lovely surprises for you for this occasion!

Come share the music and let yourself be transported by the young musicians who will take the stage.

• THE ARTISTS •

  • Children's choir "Armonia" from Préveza (Greece)

    The Preveza children's choir "Armonia" was founded in 1983 by conductor Andronikos Kourouklis. Under the direction of several eminent choir directors, including Stavros Solomos, Valentin Stefanov, and currently Anelia Stefanova since 1994, the choir has had a remarkable journey. Over the years, the choir has participated in numerous festivals in Greece and abroad, winning several prizes at international choir competitions in Bulgaria, Italy, Switzerland and Hungary.

  • Hangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra (China)

    The Orchestra was established by the Hangzhou Municipal Education Bureau and Youth Activity Center. Founded in 1997, it is the first youth symphony orchestra in Zhejiang province. Over the past 27 years, the orchestra has always "aimed high and virtuous" and upheld the educational concept of "self-education and personal growth".

  • Nõmme School Symphony Orchestra of Tallinn (Estonia)

    The Nõmme School of Music Symphony Orchestra was founded in 2003. From its inception until fall 2014, it was conducted by Jüri-Ruut Kangur. Since then, Riivo Jõgi has been the conductor of the orchestra.

  • “Alvarez Beigbeder” Youth Symphony Orchestra of Jerez (Spain)

    Founded in 1998, the Orchestra has since regularly enchanted spectators through both national and international concerts. Rewarded with various prizes from the Junta de Andalucía (IAJ), the Town Hall of Jerez, the Town Hall of Neuilly-sur-Marne (France) as well as the Saint Ange Association, he had the honor of performing in prestigious places such as the Oratory of the Louvre Museum, the Saint-Germain des Prés Church, and the Carnavalet Museum in Paris, as well as at the European Parliament in Brussels. His performances have also spread across different countries, from Czechoslovakia to China, including Canada and Russia.

  • St Stephen Youth Symphony Orchestra of Budapest (Hungary)

    The St. Stephen Youth Symphony Orchestra, founded by József Záborszky in 1968, aims to enrich the ranks of the great St. Stephen Symphony Orchestra. Made up of members aged 14 to 26, it typically performs four concerts a year, as well as special performances at proms or wedding ceremonies. Under the direction of Gábor Horváth, the orchestra organizes a music camp in Tihany every summer, with daily concerts open to the public.

  • Joliette Youth Symphony Orchestra (Canada)

    The Joliette Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSJJ), founded in 1970 by Father Rolland Brunelle, brings together approximately 80 young musicians from the Lanaudière region, in Quebec, Canada. It is made up of three ensembles led respectively by Annie Parent, Bernard Ducharme and Renaud Madore, thus offering musical opportunities to young people wishing to perfect their orchestral skills.

  • Wind ensemble "Rural Band" (Spain)

    Formed in 2021, Rural Band is a musical group led by Pablo Martínez Valiente and composed of 12 musicians in total. The uniqueness of this group lies not only in the diversity of their ages, but also in their wide range of musical styles. All musicians studied at the professional conservatory “Pedro Aranaz” in Cuenca. The ensemble is made up of 2 percussionists, 6 brass and 4 woodwinds.

  • Ensemble “Virtuoso” (France & Spain)

    Célia Mareel, born in 2008 in Paris and living in Nice, is a talented young flautist. She began her musical studies at the age of 10 and has been studying at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nice since 2019. Célia has won several prestigious awards, notably in international competitions. She also brilliantly passed her 3rd cycle transverse flute exam in 2022 with a unanimous distinction of Very Good. In 2023, she was selected to participate in the show Prodiges on France 2. In September 2024, she launched into lyrical singing with Elizabeth Vidal to perfect her art. She recently passed her entrance exam for a musical studies diploma at the Nice Conservatory with honors.

  • String quartet "Zahir"

    The quartet consists of members of the State Youth Orchestra and the OSESP Academy, made up of young people aged 19 to 21. He has participated in various festivals such as Gramado in Concert and Campos do Jordao. The group is in demand for cocktail performances and has already performed at prestigious events, including for the governor.

  • Wind quintet “Keks” (Spain)

    The “Keks” wind quintet was born in September 2023. It is formed by five higher level students in artistic music education at the CSM “Manuel Castillo” (Seville) and was born thanks to their common passion for playing in groups and creating music together. This quintet is formed by Paula Rubio (flute), Nuria Ferrero (oboe), Paula López (clarinet), Amador León (bassoon) and Marcos Martín (horn).

  • Trio "Sifflûté" (France)

    It was at the foot of the Montmartre hill in Paris that the three young flautists of the “Sifflûté” trio met, in Johanne Favre-Engel's flute class, at the conservatory in the 9th arrondissement of Paris where they obtained brilliant awards. unanimously with the congratulations of the jury. What they have in common is a passion for music from a young age and a desire to surpass themselves.

  • Trio “Rutgers” (United States)

    The Rutgers Trio is made up of graduate students from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA.

  • Elliott Lévêque - Pianist (France)

    Born in 2005, Elliot Lévêque started playing piano at the age of 7 in the town of Châtellerault. After a stint at the Poitiers conservatory and the regional Conservatory of Paris, he joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP).
