The Eurochestries celebrated their 35th anniversary!
This Festival is the oldest in the Eurochestries network, since it has its roots in the festival organized in Charente in 1989.
Every year it welcomes symphony orchestras, string orchestras, choirs and chamber music ensembles, representing 300 young musicians from all over the world. Nearly 60 concerts are organized throughout the Charente-Maritime region, but also in neighboring departments.
Duringtwo weeks, musicians come together for sharing and international brotherhood through music.
Every morning is used for international rehearsals made up of young people of all nationalities, in order to prepare the two closing concerts which take place in Jonzac and Pons, and which constitute the apotheosis of the festival.
The reception takes place at the Lycée Emile Combes de Pons. It provides quality accommodation and catering, as well as a friendly and welcoming place to live. Located in the city center, it allows musicians to easily visit this medieval city. In addition, the Festival, anchored between land and sea, offers musicians varied tourist discoveries, ranging from the Atlantic coasts to the hillsides of the Cognac and Pineau countries.
