  • THE FESTIVALS

Like the other Festivals in our network, these meetings of young musicians from all over the world come together for almost a week in Poitou, in Niort, both to play their own repertoire during the fifteen concerts organized on the territory but also to work together on a common work intended to be played during the closing concert by this large international orchestra formed for the occasion.

This festival welcomes symphony orchestras, string orchestras, choirs and chamber music ensembles.

This Festival welcomes around 160 musicians each year to perform 36 concerts in 30 towns in the region, to the great pleasure of the many spectators who travel each year. Reception takes place within around sixty host families. This deliberate choice by the organizers allows the musicians to discover a “French” way of life but also arouses the curiosity of the hosts who also go to meet the culture and values of their occasional guest. Rehearsals and concerts aside, the organizers also give musicians the opportunity to discover the city of Niort as well as the main towns of the region, without forgetting the treasures of the large natural park of the Marais Poitevin, the Green Venice.
