Yves Bouillot

                         Yves Bouillot

After having studied music at the Conservatory of Dijon, Yves Bouillot initially went to the orchestra, being a musician at the Opera, then to the music of the Dijon air. After five years spent in this phalanx, he decided to move towards teaching, and was a tuba teacher, musical training and director in different establishments. In parallel with these activities, he was attracted to conducting, and improved his skills with Yves Cayrol, Pablo Pavon, Janos Komives and Walter Boyekens. Since the age of 17, he has been working as an orchestra conductor, conducting teacher, or consulting.

Composition quickly established itself as a necessity in his musical journey. These works are now regularly required in orchestral competitions or instrumental exam lists. 2016 was a favorable year for the development of this activity. Indeed, no less than three creations will be made: the first in April, with ASSEM 17, the second on the occasion of this Eurochestries festival, and the third for the anniversary of the Commentryne harmony, next November.

Currently, Yves Bouillot is Study Advisor and Head of Education at the Bourg-en-Bresse CRD.
