Studies of clarinet, piano and conducting in Graz, Vienna, Mainz (Germany) and Siena (Italy), diplomas in clarinet, orchestra conducting and music education.
Additionally, he completed masterclasses with Alois Brandhofer (1. Clarinetist of Berlin Philharmonic) as well as Sergiu Celibidache and Gianluigi Gelmetti (conducting). He excelled in concerts, TV and radio transmissions and recordings in Austria and 14 other countries of Europe, Africa and Asia as well as a clarinetist, a clarinet soloist, in chamber music and as a conductor.
For more than 15 years he tought at the Graz University of Music and Dramatic Arts, presently he is Professor for Music Theory and Analysis at the Graz College of Music. Beyond that he conducts the “Youth Symphonic Orchestra of the Graz College of Music” and is the Artistic Director of the “Camerata Graz” (professional chamber orchestra).
He is internationally requested as a conductor as well as to give master classes, particularly for chamber music and orchestra conducting. For 12 years he worked for the highly renounced international competition “Schubert and the Music of Modernity” as a jury assistant.
Since 2008 he is attached to Eurochestries International and performed in several festivals in France (Lencloître, Niort, Rouen, Paris), Poland and Slovakia.
