                Pedro Gálvez Jiménez


Young musician born in 2001 in Jerez de la Frontera (Andalusia, Spain). He began his studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music "Joaquín Villatoro" in the horn specialty. At the age of 10, he joined the Álvarez Beigbeder Orchestra, with whom he knows the Eurochestries Festivals, which he has attended every summer since 2012.

Since then, he has shown a growing interest in the world of orchestra and conducting, especially after meeting Ángel Luis Pérez Garrido at one of these festivals. Thus began to form, supervised by prestigious professors like Enrique García Asensio, Lucía Marín, Carlos Domínguez-Nieto, Ángel Luis Pérez Garrido, Robert Fischer, Jüri-Ruut Kangur, Mauricio Linari Melfi, José Colomé and Bartolomé Pérez.

He also undertook composition studies, Pedro decided to devote a symphonic overture to Eurochestries, with philosophy, to which he is faithful and committed since his meeting. This work, under the title "Les 30 ans" was created by the Orchester Eurochestries International at the closing concert in Charente-Maritime in the year 2019 under its own direction.

Currently, he continues to train in the specialties of orchestral conducting and composition at the Royal Conservatory "Victoria Eugenia" in Granada; combine these studies with the activities of the Orquesta de los Campos Andaluces and the achievement of his bass role in the choir of the city orchestra of Granada. He is also involved in the dissemination of the work of Germán Álvarez Beigbeder, the 20th century composer from Jerez. Since 2018, he has been part of the Eurochestries Youth Committee, representing Spain; and is a member of the Board of Directors of Eurochestries.
