Isabelle Bournat approaches writing through the collection of poetry Diary of a lost young man, followed by the novel The girl who walked in the night, greeted by Andrée Chédid and Encouragement Prize of the National Book Center. She then turns to the theater and her first play Childbirth is staged with actor Christian Cloarec from the Comédie Française. Then a dozen pieces are edited and performed in France and Belgium. Besides its historical pieces Richelieu and Chamfort passion, supported by France-Culture, its universe is based on contemporary situations between lyrical celebration and squeaky comedy: Residence Beaurivage treats old age in a retirement home with tender irony, Let's dance the farandole is a socio-political farce, Useless man pins the world of work, Mercenaries and redemption offers a love oratorio, The yellow rose  successfully hosted in Avignon evokes bioethical questions ...     


She returns to poetry with the collection I took brothers and poetry recitals in Paris such as Ode to the world. She also writes radio dramas on France-Inter for the show Nuits noirs, for the show Affaires sensible Annie Girardot the unforgettable and for Gone with history Hortense Schneider the Beauty of Offenbach. Attached to artistic crossings, she cooperates with the composer Sylvain Marchal in particular for Dance premiered in Jonzac at the Festival des Eurochestries and performed at the Palais des Congrès in Strasbourg, then for Sidereal zone. She also received training as an actress at the Ecole Florent in the class of Francis Huster. At the same time, she has worked as a journalist for many sectors and regularly leads writing workshops for all audiences.
