No, you don't need to redo your video.
- Is it possible to play work 1 with one instrument and work 2 with another instrument?
Yes, for the categories:
- Flute / Piccolo
- Oboe / English horn
- Clarinet / Bass clarinet
- Saxophones
- Trumpets / Cornet / Bugle
- Trombone / Bass trombone
- Classical Harp / Electric Harp
- Is it necessary to play with accompaniment?
No, you can play alone without accompaniment.
- Are the pauses between each work included in the final timing?
No, this time is not included.
- Can I record two movements?
Yes, you can record two movements.
- Can we play excerpts from works?
Yes of course.
- When recording, do you have to see the entire instrument?
It does not matter if you do not see the entire instrument (for large instruments like the double bass).
However, it must be possible to see the participant and the movement of his or her fingers.
- Do I have to wear a Eurochestries item of clothing or symbol when checking in?
No, everyone dresses as they wish.
- Can I send 2 videos?
No, the 2 works performed must be performed consecutively.
- Can I use this video for other online competitions?
Yes.
- If I play two instruments from the same family, do I have to pay registrations twice?
No, you only pay once.
- I am 25 and will be 26 in August. Can I register?
Yes, there is no problem.
- How do I go about registering for the competition?
All you need to do is complete the online registration form on the Eurochestries website, available in 5 languages: www.eurochestries.org/inscription-concours-international-jeunes-solistes
- What language should I choose to complete the registration form?
It doesn't matter. You have the choice between French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
- Do I have to put subtitles on my video to indicate my name and the titles of the works?
No, it is not obligatory since you present yourself at the beginning of your video and indicate the works that you are playing.
- In what format should I send the photocopy of my passport or identity card?
PDF, JPEG and PNG formats are accepted.
- What is the cost of registration?
The registration fee varies depending on the geographic area of your place of residence.
The 4 zones have been defined based on the 2018 Human Development Index of the countries, as defined by the United Nations.
