In order to take stock of the year 2023 and present the festival and the 2024 activities, the General Assembly of Eurochestries will be organized on Saturday March 16 at 10 a.m. in the premises of the Departmental Council in Saintes.

Tony PONCET, French tenor of Spanish origin from the late 1950s to the early 1970s, was the official tenor of all opera and concert stages in France.
Buried in Saint-Aigulin (17), we will pay tribute to him on April 5, 6 and 7, 2024 by organizing concerts, round tables and exhibitions!

This Festival is the oldest in the Eurochestries network, since it has its roots in the festival organized in Charente in 1989.
Every year it welcomes symphony orchestras, string orchestras, choirs and chamber music ensembles, i.e. 300 young musicians from all over the world. Nearly 60 concerts are organized throughout the territory of Charente-Maritime, but also in neighboring departments.
Duringtwo weeks, musicians come together for sharing and international fraternity through music.
All mornings are used for international rehearsals made up of young people of all nationalities, in order to prepare the two closing concerts which take place in Jonzac and Pons, and which constitute the apotheosis of the festival.
Reception takes place within the Lycée Emile Combes de Pons. It ensures quality accommodation and catering, as well as a friendly and friendly place to live. Located in the city center, it allows musicians to easily visit this medieval city. In addition, the Festival, anchored between land and sea, offers musicians varied tourist discoveries, ranging from the Atlantic coasts to the hillsides of the Cognac and Pineau countries.
